First, I only had the patience for both sides opening statements. Walter’s was inelegant but to the point: this issue comes down to the non-aggression principle and property rights (keep your mitts off my animals, but I can kill them because they’re mine!). The other side lost even before his first words when Walter gave the example of lions killing zebras. If there cannot be any rights violation in the animal world (or any non-aggression principle), then this is a silly debate to have.
