Lump of Labor Fallacy Shouldn’t Guide Retirement Decisions
walterblock.substack.com
It is difficult to know when to retire. Do it too early, and you might well be bored for the rest of your life, bereft of your workplace friends, not to say a bit of money. Do it too late and you miss out on the joys of a bit of well-earned relaxation. There are motives galore for going in either direction on this matter.
If present and potential future employers in your field all succumb to wokeness, greenness, and vax/mask/test mandatitis, it becomes very easy to know when to retire: as soon as possible. If possible, you also try to persuade younger people *not* to take such jobs.
Dear Vincent:
Thanks for your comment. That's one alternative. Another is to stick with it, and try to fight wokeism.
Best regards,
Walter
Good morning,
Well written and I completely agree with you.
